"My Own Prison" is a rock song written by Scott Stapp for Creed's debut album "My Own Prison". Scott Stapp wrote this about his struggles with life at a time when he was questioning his faith. He realized he had created a prison within his own mind. Scott Stapp sings all of the song except for the Chorus, which Creed's guitarist Mark Tremonti harmonizes. Released 24 July 1997.
