Digital Album: Peter Andre - The Long Road Back

"The Long Road Back" is Peter Andre's fourth studio album and released on 7 June 2004 under East West Records.

Following seven years away from the music industry, Andre re-appeared when he became a contestant on the ITV1 reality show I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!. During his time in the competition, Andre penned the song 'Insania', which was written about his time in the jungle. When the competition ended, East West Records offered Andre a record deal, which would see him release a new album before the end of 2004. It was revealed that East West had acquired the rights to Andre's hit "Mysterious Girl" some months before, following the collapse of Andre's ex-record label Mushroom Records. In February 2004, as an attempt to re-publicise Andre, East West penned a new remix of "Mysterious Girl", which was subtitled "2004", which was released on the 23rd as the album's first single. A week before the album's release, "Insania", the track penned by Andre during his time in the jungle, was released as the album's second single. The album was released on 7 June 2004, featuring both singles, ten new recordings and the original version of "Mysterious Girl". "Hilary Duff" is the self-titled third album by American pop singer Hilary Duff, released by Hollywood Records in the United States on 28 September 2004. Hilary Duff said that she had more creative control over the album than she did over "Metamorphosis" released on 2003, her second album, and that the songs were more personal and contained heavier influences of rock music. Most of the songwriting and production team on the album, which included John Shanks and Charlie Midnight, had contributed to "Metamorphosis". Hilary Duff received mostly negative reviews from critics, many of whom compared it to the music of Avril Lavigne and Ashlee Simpson. "Feels So Good" is the second album by Atomic Kitten and features the hit singles "It's OK!", "Tide Is High (Get The Feeling)", "The Last Goodbye /Be With You" (double A-side) and "Love Doesn't Have To Hurt".

The style of the album is comparable with the first album and consists mainly of pop ballads, happy songs and one cover version. After releasing a cover version of "Eternal Flame" on the previous album, Susanna Hoffs from The Bangles decided to write a track for the album called "Love Doesn't Have To Hurt". The girls team up with Rob Davis for the songwriting and production of several songs and as a result Kylie Minogue with whom he frequently collaborated, also donates a song, "Feels So Good", to the album. Out of gratitude and because they feel it is a great title, the girl band decided to name the album after that song.

The album performed well on the charts with both Feels So Good sold nearly Platinum in first week and the single "The Tide Is High" becoming number 1 in the same week selling 145,000 copies in the first week, they were the second girl band to enter the no. 1 in both singles and albums charts at the same time (after Spice girls and before Sugababes) . During the release of the single "The Last Goodbye/Be With You", the album climbed back to the Top 10 in two weeks. The album is certified double Platinum. The album was further promoted with the simultaneous release of the book Atomic Kitten: So Good, So Far by Ian McLeish in which the girl group gave an insight look into their early career.
